Super Oldies Super Treat

I heard on the radio about this super fun and free Halloween party in a nearby town. So I persuaded my family to go. I just thought it was cool that I was at the same place where the radio people were broadcasting from. I should have gotten Stephen Gillespie's autograph but I got shy.

The line was really long.
Charles enjoyed running around in the gym. At first he was not interested in wearing his costume, but then he saw another dinosaur and came back to us wanting to wear his tail too.
We trick or treated to some booths and got some yummy candy.

We have so much candy now that we just use it as utensils.

The next night we went trick or treating. It was fun to see Charles enjoy himself and say thanks to the people giving him candy. Every time he got handed a sucker he would stop eating his current one and start on the new one.

We trick or treated to our friends Jo and JJ's to say hi and so we could get pictures of our costumes.

Happy Halloween!!

Brown County

A few weeks ago we tried to go camping at Brown County State Park, but when we pulled up to the ranger booth, we learned that all 400 camping sites are booked months in advance and were full until the end of October!

Luckily there was a nice park down the road a few minutes with lots of great sites so our camping hopes and dreams were not crushed entirely (well, until I sent Joshua home in the middle of the night because he was so sick and miserable, but that's a different story).

But this last weekend we took a nice family drive through the popular Brown County Park. We made it just in time to see the lovely fall leaves and we had a fun hike around a little lake.

Charles The Second

Charles is now two years old.

It seems he has enjoyed these last two years of existence.

(That is him smiling for the camera)

We have sure enjoyed having him around.

I learned if you you give them candy every few min, they stay in the cart. :)

We were also excited we could fit 3 car seats in the back seat.

Small things that make life great.

Airplanes, Boats and Bison

Party at the beach with the Wheatley family!

Charles loved the airplane ride, especially looking out the windows at the airport excitement.

Waiting at the airport:

Stop by Morris Farms for some fresh fruit and free candy samples. Mmm. And some good fun.

Basketball with Uncle Caleb.

Romantic walks at sunset.

Love this guy. What a hottie.

Another stud.

Playing all day really wears a guy out:

Alissa on our bike ride to get some delicious donuts!

I think we should stay here forever.
